Great leaders are patriotic citizens who take responsibility and make sacrifices for growth, development and prosperity of their nations. They place their state first and the welfare of their fellow citizens as top priority.
Patriotic leaders make laws that promote equity and safeguard human rights, and also ensure equal opportunities for all. In governance, they enable institutional reforms and organizational harmony to guarantee fairness, productivity and commitment to service.
In Ebonyi State, Governor Francis Nwifuru pilots a government that prioritizes peace, security, stability and economic growth of the state. His policies anchored in the People’s Charter of Needs Agenda has impacted the citizens and transformed the state. The administration pays adequate attention to the primary obligation of security of life and properties of Ebonyi people.
On assumption of office on the 29th May, 2023, Chief Francis Nwifuru raised the white flag as a symbol of peace and unity in the state. With a clear sense of commitment and spirit of fatherhood, he resolved all lingering communal crisis and boundary disputes that devastated some communities and clans in the state. Restoring peace, stability and calm to the affected communities and clans, such as: Ezza Effium and Effium in Ohaukwu Local Government Area, Amanze and Izzo in Ishielu Local Government Area, Ohankwu and Amanna in Ezza South and Ikwo Local Government Areas, Ishinkwor and Abaomege in Onicha Local Government Area, Amasiri and Okporojo in Afikpo North and Edda Local Government Areas, Ishiagu and Akaeze in Ivo Local Government Area.
To achieve lasting peace and brotherhood in the affected clans and communities, Governor Francis Nwifuru created Alioma and Alioma Ezekuna Autonomous Communities in Ezza Effium and Effium, Amanze and Izzo Autonomous Communities in Ishielu, including construction of 150 3-bedrooms for Amanze and Izzo Autonomous Communities.
To ensure the return of peace and stability in Ishinkwor and Abaomege, demarcation of the disputed land was carried out by the State Ministry of Lands and Survey.
The administration has also settled town union and ezeship crisis in all parts of the state. The government showed a true commitment and supervised the election of about 80 traditional rulers and town union leaderships in the affected communities and towns.
To demonstrate leadership ingenuity that broadens equity and participatory governance, Governor Francis Nwifuru appointed worthy sons and daughters of Ezza Ezekuna, especially the youths and women into his cabinet. Hence, promoting the 35 percent affirmative for women participation in politics.
For fair and equitable allocation of infrastructure for urban and rural development, the administration graciously awarded contracts for the construction of 3-span Ekka/Inyere Akadoro unity bridge, 3-span Alubueleke Akadoro unity bridge in Ezza North Local Government Area.
- Construction of one storey building with 22 classrooms, admin offices and conveniences in the six pilot schools in Ezza North and Ezza South.
- Construction of 7km road in Ekka, Ezza North.
- Rehabilitation, equipping and reactivation of the two general hospitals in Ezza North and Ezza South.
- Allocation of Special Utility Vehicles (SUVs) to doctors in-charge of the two general hospitals in Ezza North and Ezza South, including provision of brand new ambulances to the two general hospitals, construction of two Doctors Quarters, provision of medical consumables to the two general hospitals and all the primary health centres in Ezza North and Ezza South.
The administration is appreciated for the inclusion of sons and daughters of Ezza Ezekuna in the state government’s foreign and local postgraduate scholarship scheme, provision of clean water, distribution of teaching and learning materials to the basic education schools in the clan.
Ezza Ezekuna clan expresses happiness in the inclusion of their sons and daughters in recruitment of civil servants, as well as payment of pensions and gratuities to the retired civil servants of the state and the retired staff of Ebonyi State Local Government System – 1996 to date.
The people of Ezza Ezekuna clan equally express their heartwarming gratitude for benefiting from the Renewed Hope Programmes of the President Bola Ahmed Tinubu-led Federal Government of Nigeria. Including Renewed Hope Women Agricultural Support Programme, Renewed Hope Youth in Agric Support Programme and the ongoing Renewed Hope Cash Transfer Programme.
To reciprocate these kind gestures, the entire Ezza Ezekuna clan speak with one voice and echo with one tone, and adopt Governor Francis Nwifuru as their Sole Governorship Candidate for 2027. To consolidate the People’s Charter of Needs Agenda of the present administration under the visionary leadership of Chief Francis Nwifuru.
