Governor Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru of Ebonyi State has congratulated Biodun Oyebanji on his re-election as Governor of Ekiti State.
Governor Nwifuru said the overwhelming support of Ekiti people for Governor Oyebanji was predicated on his accomplishments in the last four years.

Your reelection after four years by Ekiti people confirms you not only laid the foundation for good governance, but also strictly pursued democratic ideals by delivering good governance anchored on infrastructure, equity, fairness and justice.
“I am very elated that the people of Ekiti are indeed progressives and at all times, sticklers of good governance, who avoided drift and leveraged the ballot to choose a leader with an unquenchable thirst for transformation”
Nwifuru expressed optimism that the re-election of Governor Oyebanji will herald a new dawn of infrastructural and human capital development blended governance for the people of Ekiti State. President Tinubu had described the re-election of Oyebanji as “clear vote of confidence in continuity, stability and people centred governance”. He won with 319,224 votes to beat his closest rival, the PDP candidate, Olumayokun Oluyede who polled 40,433 votes. Oyebanji is the first governor in Ekiti State since 1999 to win back to back as an incumbent state chief executive.
