AEFUTHA Records Rare Birth of Quintuplets After 15 Years of Childlessness

Joy and celebration filled the Alex Ekwueme Federal University Teaching Hospital (AEFUTHA), Abakaliki, as a family welcomed a set of quintuplets after 15 years of childlessness.
The proud father, Dr. Oge Chigoke, Deputy Chief Medical Advisory Committee (CMAC) of AEFUTHA, expressed profound gratitude to God for the successful delivery of the five babies. He appreciated the healthcare professionals who cared for his wife throughout the process and commended the Chief Medical Director, Professor Robinson Chukwudi Onoh, for his visionary leadership in establishing the hospital’s IVF Centre, which has brought hope to many families experiencing infertility.
In his remarks, the Chief Medical Advisory Committee (CMAC) of AEFUTHA, Dr. Nelson Chinedu Nwedu, thanked God for the successful outcome and described the birth as a testimony to God’s faithfulness and the hospital’s commitment to quality healthcare delivery. He encouraged couples and families who are trusting God for the fruit of the womb not to lose hope but to continue looking up to God in faith while seeking appropriate medical care.
