The women of Amankwo/Amaobolobo in Nkpoghoro Autonomous Community, Afikpo Local Government Area, have expressed their heartfelt gratitude to Ebonyi State Governor, Rt Hon Builder Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru, and his wife, Chief (Mrs) Mary-Maudaline Uzoamaka Nwifuru for their remarkable leadership that has reached the grassroots level
This appreciation was voiced on Sunday when the Deputy Governor, Princess Patricia Onyemaechi Obila, donated farm inputs to the women
The women credited the positive developments in their communities to the good working relationship between the First Family and their “daughter,” the Deputy Governor. They noted that this synergy has led to various initiatives benefiting their community, particularly in the area of Infrastructural and agricultural development.
The farm inputs, which included rice seedlings, fertilizers, and Herbicides as well as cash, donated to the women, just like the previous ones given to other Groups, are part of the efforts of the Deputy Governor to boost agricultural production, improve food availability, and enhance the livelihoods of rural communities which is in line with the People’s Charter of Needs Agenda of Governor Nwifuru, aimed at addressing food security challenges in the state.
The excited women who spoke through Madam Mgbo Otta , Madam Evelyn Ogeri Oko, Madam Angela Uka Oko and Madam Elem Felicia Ekemma extended special commendation and appreciation to the Deputy Governor for remembering them and prioritizing their needs. They expressed optimism that this gesture will not only improve their livelihoods but also serve as a motivation to other women in the community.
The Deputy Governor is further set to extend this gesture to other groups, communities and Individual farmers, further demonstrating her commitment to the welfare and development of her People
