The Governor of Ebonyi State, Rt. Hon. Francis Nwifuru, has congratulated the Federal Commissioner representing Ebonyi State at the Revenue Mobilisation, Allocation and Fiscal Commission, RMAFC, Abuja, Hon. Henry Nduka Awuregu, on his 50th birthday, describing the golden jubilee “as a celebration of character, purposeful living and dedicated service to the nation”.
Governor Nwifuru, in his birthday message, extolled “Awuregu’s humility, diligence, intellectual strength and exemplary disposition to responsibility”, noting that “these qualities distinguished him and informed his recommendation for the strategic national assignment he currently occupies”.
The Governor observed that “the appointment was informed by his confidence in Awuregu’s personal attributes, intellectual capacity and potential to contribute meaningfully to the nation’s revenue mobilisation and allocation framework”.
According to the Governor, the celebrant’s “continued service at the Commission represents an important opportunity to justify the confidence reposed in him and demonstrate that public appointments, when entrusted to individuals of proven character and commitment, can contribute significantly to institutional effectiveness and national development”.
He expressed satisfaction that “Awuregu has continued to demonstrate the values that informed the confidence placed in him, adding that service at an institution as important as RMAFC requires integrity, sound judgment, discipline and commitment to the national interest”.
The Governor further noted that “the golden jubilee offers an opportunity to reflect on the importance of character, competence and human capital development in building strong public institutions”.
While describing the celebrant’s 50th birthday as a significant milestone, Governor Nwifuru urged him to sustain the virtues of humility, hard work and intellectual diligence, which have continued to define his public-service journey.
The Governor prayed “Almighty God to grant Awuregu good health, wisdom, strength and many more fruitful years, while blessing his family and granting him greater opportunities to contribute to the advancement of Ebonyi State and Nigeria”.
