DISTINGUISHED SEN. ENGR. KENNETH EZE JOINS GOVERNOR AND THE GOOD PEOPLE OF IZHI FOR THE GRAND FINALE OF OJIJI IZHI NEW YAM FESTIVAL
The Grand Finale of the Ojiji Izhi New Yam Festival at Okpoku Izhi Nnodo (Cultural Centre), Anmegu, yesterday provided another remarkable platform for the celebration of culture, unity, community solidarity, and progressive leadership.
The Senator representing Ebonyi Central Senatorial Sen. Kenneth Eze joined the Governor of Ebonyi State, Rt. Hon Francis Nwifuru and the good people of Izhi to mark the historic cultural celebration.
The presence of Senator Kenneth Eze at the celebration further demonstrated his enduring connection with the people and his commitment to preserving the cultural values, traditions, and unity that define the identity of the Izhi people.
Speaking with journalists at the event, Senator Eze described the Ojiji Izhi New Yam Festival as a significant cultural heritage and an important moment for reflection, reconciliation, thanksgiving, and renewed hope.
According to him, the festival provides an opportunity for the people to take stock of the past, reconcile differences, strengthen communal bonds, appreciate God’s blessings, and look forward to a new season of greater prosperity and development.
He therefore called on the people of Izhi to continue to uphold the values of love, peace, unity, brotherhood, and collective responsibility, stressing that the strength of the people lies in their ability to remain united and work together for the progress of their communities and the state.
Senator Kenneth Eze also commended the Governor for his administration’s commitment to job creation, human capital development, empowerment, infrastructure, and other people-oriented programmes designed to improve the standard of living across Ebonyi State.
He prayed for God’s continued wisdom, strength, protection, and blessings upon the Governor, his family, and the entire people of Ebonyi State.
As the people celebrate a new harvest and a new season, the occasion also reaffirms the political bond and collective commitment to the continuity of progressive governance under the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
