The National Secretariat of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has received the results of the House of Representatives primaries held in the six constituencies in Ebonyi State last Saturday.
The results of the exercise were handed over to the APC National Assembly Primary Election Committee led by Barr Kennedy Ekong by the six returning officers who presided over the primaries in the different federal constituencies.
Announcing the results, Barr Ekong declared the winners as Hon Iduma Igariwey for Afikpo Edda federal constituency with 15,157 votes, Hon Kama Nkemkanma for Ohanivo with 30,044 votes and Hon Chinedu Ogah for Ezza South/Ikwo federal constituency with 34,780 votes.
Other winners declared by the leader of the NASS primary election committee included Hon Joseph Nwobasi for Ezza North/Ishielu federal constituency with 22,081 votes, Pastor Eze Nwachukwu Eze for Ebonyi/Ohaukwu, 18,620 votes and Hon Emmanuel Uguru for Abakaliki/Izzi federal constituency with 22,821 votes.
The results had earlier been handed over by the returning officers – Nwali Alphonsus Chinedu for Afikpo/Edda, Barr Ikeuwa Omebe for Ohanivo, Hon Paul James Nwogha for Ezza South/Ikwo federal constituency.
Others are Barr Emmanuel Igbokwe for Ebonyi/Ohaukwu and Emmanuel Uguru for Abakaliki/Izzi federal constituency.
Responding on behalf of his colleagues, the member representing Ebonyi/Ohaukwu constituency, Eze Nwachukwu commended the committee for a job well done and assured that they would remain committed members of APC and work towards the victory of the party in next year election.
