As part of efforts to attract investors , Ebonyi State Government has come up with legislations that will protect investments in the state.
Governor Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru spoke Friday in his office when Neuro Pharma, a Bulgarian pharmaceutical company paid him courtesy call.
Neuro Pharma is partnering the state to build One Thousand Two Hundred Beds Hospital in its vision to expand access to healthcare in selected African countries.
The Governor also urged the Bulgarian investment company to go ahead with their investments drive, leveraging the state’s comparative edge.
“This hospital is strategically located. It is closer than other African countries. For instance, from here to Cameroon is less than 5 hours”, Governor Nwifuru remarked.
” In Ebonyi State, we have laws that protect the interests of investors. There are ones that if an investor loses because of government’s neglect, the government pays the investor for making him lose money”.
He told the delegation that the state under his watch prioritises protection of lives and properties.
“We have security. I can confirm that we are one of the safest states in the country”.
Earlier, the team lead, Ms Valicka Stamenova, a Bulgarian stated that the Neuro Pharma will build a 1,200 bed hospital in any location the state approves and commended the state’s open arms to investments.
Ambassador Young Piero Omatseye, Patrick Kagagor, Engr Robert Adeboye and Rasheed Olarenwaju assured Ebonyi State Government of commitment and sincerity in the delivery of the project.
” We are committed towards ensuring that Africa develops Africa.
We toured the state, saw the beautiful landscape, we know that Ebonyi is positioned for the project”.
