On Monday, September 29, 2025, the residence of Hon. Pharm. Anthony Ekoh Jr. at Amaizu witnessed a massive turnout of both members of Francis Frontiers, FF Ugwuegu Ward executives, Stakeholders from the ward and supporters of the group.
This was as Afikpo LGA executives of FF, led by the Coordinator, Hon. Chief Anthony Obiahu kick-started Ward to Ward sensitization visits to the 12 Wards in Afikpo.
Receiving members of the LGA executives, the Ugwuegu Ward Coordinator, Hon. Kelechi Enya expressed happiness the LGA executives kept to the scheduled time of the meeting, pointing out that it is a rare political behaviour in recent time that shows great commitment to the cause.
Addressing the people of Ugwuegu Ward, the LGA Coordinator of FF, Hon. Chief Obiahu pointed out the meeting is tailored to be interactive.
According to him, FF is a socio-political elite group that has its members drawn from all walks of life irrespective of political affiliation.
He explained that the major aim of the group, which supports the good governance of the Ebonyi State governor, Rt. Hon. Francis Ogbonnia Nwifuru is canvassing to raise greater awareness of the Governor’s landmark achievements in the state.
This, the LGA FF Coordinator said will further improve and reinforce the glittering reputation of Governor Nwifuru to foster increased trust as a Governor that encourages full respect for human rights, rule of law, effective participation of Ebonyians in governance and multi-actor partnership in government.
Obiahu advised the Ward executives and stakeholders to take positive action in Ugwuegu Ward to align the people of the community with the candidate of Rt. Hon. Buldr. Francis Ogbonnia Nwifuru, especially in the forthcoming 2027 general election and ensure no vote is lost.
Chief Dom Isute, a major stakeholder in the ward and a former General Manager of Ebonyi State Newspapers and Publishing Corporation in his remarks charged the group not to be complacent as there are still some people that need to be brought into the movement for the reelection of Governor Francis Nwifuru. Chief Isute gave the assurance that Ugwuegu would mobilise massively to give their support to the Governor and the APC.
The LG party Chairman, Hon. Nicodemus Oko Egwu who is also from Ugwuegu ward and Chief Magistrate Gabriel Omiko Uga (rtd) who were among Ugwuegu Ward stakeholders encouraged Ugwuegu FF Ward executives to diligently pursue the objectives of this most formidable support group in Ebonyi State.
Hon. Anthony Ekoh Jr. Thanked the LGA FF executives for undertaking the Ward to Ward visits, which he said may be a very daunting task, but worth venturing into, as part of the pre-inauguration preparation activities of FF in Afikpo
Hon. Ibiam Inya Agha, the LGA Organizing Secretary of FF thanked Ugwuegu Ward for their lavish entertainment of the group.
The ward visits will end with Ibii/Ozizza on October 10, 2025
