The All Progressives Congress (APC) has released a programme for its ward to ward campaign for the August 22 local government election in Afikpo.
The campaign which starts Wednesday August 12 will end Saturday August 15.
The schedule signed by the Chairman of the campaign council for the local government election in Afikpo, Dr Donatus Ezeogo Aja and the APC Chairman for Afikpo Local Government, Hon Nicodemus Egwu announced that the exercise will start in Amata Akpoha ward A and and Amogu Akpoha Ward B as well as Ibii/Ozizza on Wednesday August 12.
The campaign train will move to Amasiri wards A and B as well as Ugwuegu on the second day, Thursday August 13 and to the two wards in Ohaisu and Nkpoghoro on Friday August 14.
The grand finale of the ward to ward campaign will hold Saturday at Itim ward and the two wards in Unwana.
Meanwhile the flag of the party has been officially handed over to NWACHI Timothy A. U to run for another term as Chairman for Afikpo local government.
The ceremony was performed by Governor Francis Nwifuru represented by the Deputy Governor at the flag off of the LG election in Afikpo.
The Governor enjoined the people to come out on August 22 to vote for the APC chairmanship and councillorship candidates.
Responding, the LG Chairman, Nwachi thanked the party and the people of Afikpo for endorsing him to run again and assured them that he’ll continue to do those things that will make Afikpo to stand out when voted again
