Since Tump commanded his Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth to prepare to take out the terrorists in Nigeria, with ‘guns-a-blazing’, various commentators have likened the probable aftermath to the invasion of Libya or Iraq, creating unnecessary hysteria, fear and panic among the people. This is turning the table.
The truth is, Trump is not coming to declare war on Nigeria, and neither is America . Trump is not coming to stop the Dangote refineries from working, or bomb it. He is coming to root out terrorism, to do what the government couldn’t do for successive years: stop the genocidal killing of christians and people of other faith by Fulani janjaweeds. He is coming to stop the drift to anarchy which the country is currently headed to.
Every work has a reward, the Holy book said. Terrorism in Nigeria is the creation of APC. If Tinubu had known that the masquerade he decorated would one day turn round to hunt him, he would have thought otherwise.
In order to oust the Goodluck Administration in 2014, Buhari said that blood will flow like water, for both the people and the baboon. Northern politicians went to work and came up with the plan to make the country ungovernable by importing Fulani terrorists from the Sahel to stop Jonathan.
Buhari, Tinubu, Adeboye, Soyinka, El-Rufai etc all lined the streets demonstrating for the removal of President Jonathan. Their plan worked, Jonathan vacated the seat, because he didn’t want that blood to flow. It is not yet the day of reckoning but today, Trump has sneezed and the same masterminds that brought in the terrorists are running into their covens looking for shelter and thinking they will not be shoveled out like Saddam Hussein. Do we even still remember when Buhari said that an attack on the terrorists is an attack on the North? The social upheaval in the country today is undoubtedly the creation of the Northen elites who want to gain power.
Trump is not coming to disorganise Nigeria, he is coming to stop the Islamization of the country and reorder it to be livable, so that we can sleep with our eyes closed. For over 15 years, we have lived in fear, the politicians we elected to lead us have become our problem. We are in a state of anomie. Invasion of pristine neighborhoods by Fulani bandits is no longer news, neither is the mayhem, burning and killing of innocent citizens that come in its trail.
We have been encircled, If it is not happening in Plateau today, tomorrow it is in Benue. Or Southern Kaduna. Or Ebonyi and Enugu, or the Southwest and South South, with blood flowing like water as predicted by Buhari. All these happen under the glare of our politicians, they see all and keep quiet, waiting for the next election, Rev. Fathers and innocent children butchered like fowl. Why shouldn’t America come?
Talking of America coming to raze down the country like Libya , Iraq or Afghanistan is balderdash and neither here nor there. The Department of War under Hegseth has signaled it is ready, waiting for the final whistle . It should be clear to all, America is not coming to faff around, they are coming to put our politicians and the leadership on their toes.
What the Nigerian government couldn’t do is what trump is coming to do: exterminate the terrorists irrespective of tribe. Tinubu’s visit to America this week can’t change anything. The buck does not stop on JD Vance’s table, it stops on Trump’s.
