The member representing Afikpo North East constituency, Chief Hon Oluchukwu Ukie Ezeali (Pnoble) has extolled the Governor of Ebonyi State for always taking bold steps towards giving Ebonyi state a facelift by attracting investments that can capably put our dear state on the global map.
Recently, the Nigerian College of Aviation Technology (NCAT) was decentralised to have campuses in all the geopolitical zones in Nigeria and Ebonyi state was chosen as designated campus for the south-East geopolitical zone.
In a statement made available to the press, the lawmaker noted that His Excellency has displayed an uncommon feat by influencing the south East region quota to Ebonyi state, describing him as a go-getter.
He further emphasized that the prospects of having the campus situated in Ebonyi are enormous as it will pose an overwhelming economic and educational value to Ebonyians.
He however lauded the Governor for holding tenaciously to the people’s charter of needs mantra by taking conscious steps towards putting Ebonyi on the global map through his people oriented initiatives and policies, ranging from workers welfare, Education Reforms, Human capital development, industrialization and Health sector transformations. The federal government had recently approved the establishment of the campuses of the College of Aviation Technology in the six geopolitical zones of Zaria for North West, Osubi for South South, Ebonyi for South East, Ilorin for North Central and Yola for North East. The federal government in order to facilitate this arrangement had also made a provision of ₦3,680,000,000 in the 2025 budget to actualise it. The Nigerian College of Aviation Technology is the foremost aviation training institution established in 1964 and it is a Regional Training Centre (RTC) designated by the International Civil Aviation Authority Organisation (ICAO). The decision by the federal government is to decentraise aviation training, promote accessibility and improve operational efficiency across the country.
