The people of Itim Ward have organized a rally where they trooped out in their numbers, rolled out drums to give FF Afikpo LGA executives a red-carpet treatment of grand deferential welcome and hospitality.
The ward is home to many political heavyweights like Rt. Hon Iduma Igariwey of the House of Representatives and Engr Ibrahim Nwachi (Ibru)
The visit marked the fourth day of Francis Frontiers, Afikpo LGA Executives Wards Visits. And it was the turn of Itim Ward, the political Ward of Rt. Hon. Idume Igariwey, the representative of Afikpo/Edda Federal Constituency and the renowned philanthropist, Chief Ibru Nwachi
The Coordinator of FF in the local government area, Hon Chief Anthony Obiahu, explained to members of Itim Ward who irrespective of party differences gathered in their numbers to honour the FF LGA executives, that what was at play is the spirit of Governor Francis Ogbonnia Nwifuru, who is like water that does not have enemy, and on whose behalf FF is formed.
Also perceiving the speculation within the womenfolk that there were no women in the executives of the Nwifuru Support Group, the LGA Coordinator laid that to rest, revealing that although there are two positions for the women, the Women Leader and her deputy within the executives at the ward, LGA and State well occupied by the women, formation of the Women Wing of FF is in the offing.

Apostle Dr. Peter Idume, the Deputy Coordinator of FF, Afikpo LGA who seized the opportunity of the visit to applauded the support of Afikpo LGA Executive Chairman, Engr. Timothy Agha Idume Nwachi; Rt. Hon. Idume Igariwey; and the renowned philanthropist, Chief Ibru Nwachi as well as the Leader of EBHA, Rt. Hon. Kingsley Ogbonnia Ikoro to FF, said that greater things await Afikpo people.
He highlighted the need for urgent acquisition of the PVC for those who have lost theirs, or are yet to have one, as the INEC officials are at the Afikpo Council Headquarters to assist them.
Apostle Dr. Idume expressed high optimism in the victory of Governor Nwifuru come 2027 General Election, saying that his concern is the margin of victory that is expected.
Chief Felix Oko, who doubles as the President General of Mgbom community and that of the entire Itim Autonomous community emphasized that it is number of votes Afikpo gives Governor Nwifuru and President Bola Ahmed Tinubu that would support, strengthen and reinforce the bargaining power of the people in their quest for dividends of democracy. He advised that Afikpo and indeed Itim Ward come out without anybody staying behind to massively vote for the present government so as to increase the bargaining chip and make the work of stakeholders easier for them.
Chief Anthony Oko Ewa, the National Vice Chairman of National Union of Road Transport Workers, who was among the notable figures that graced the occasion, pointed out that his members in Ebonyi State numbering over 20,000 are all in support of Governor Nwifuru, who he revealed is equally their member.
The sensitization tour of wards resumes on Monday at Unwana Ward A and B.
