Ebonyi State House of Assembly has unanimously passed into law a supplementary Appropriation bill of Ninety one billion, six hundred and niety eight million, three hundred thousand naira. (#91,698,300,000.00)for the fiscal year ending 31st, December 2025.
A breakdown of the supplementary budget shows #31,191,550,000.00 for recurrent expenditure while #60,506,750,000.00 is for capital expenditure.
The law which is deemed to have come into force on 28th October, 2025 is to be cited as Ebonyi State of Nigeria year 2025 supplementary Appropriation law.
The purpose of the law is to authorise additional withdrawals from the consolidated revenue fund of the state to meet priority expenditures of government for the fiscal year ending 31st December 2025.
All the honourable members contributed in favour of the bill which was deliberated upon during the Committee of the whole.
The Speaker puts the passage of the bill into question and it was unanimously adopted.
Speaking shortly after the passage of the law, the Speaker Rt Hon Moses Ije Odunwa said the law empower the state Governor and other Arms of government to apply the supplementary budgetary provisions for governance.
