Air Vice Marshal Osichinaka Chiedu Ubadike, from Umuazu Village, Umuoji in Idemili North LGA, Anambra State has made history as the first serving officer of the Nigerian Air Force to become a Professor. He was appointed Professor of Aerospace Engineering by the Governing Council of the Air Force Institute of Technology (AFIT).
He is both a senior military officer and a strong academic. He holds a PhD and a Master’s degree from Cranfield University in the UK, three other Master’s degrees from Ahmadu Bello University and the Nigerian Defence Academy, and a First-Class degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from NDA.
He has also contributed greatly to research in the Nigerian Air Force, including helping to develop the indigenous NAF Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV).
